The last few years have been a whirlwind! I have stretched, grown, loved, and lost. Through all these experiences, I have gained wisdom beyond human understanding. However, the last few months have been uncomfortable, to say the least. Much has been revealed and must be released to allow for expansion.
Thus, I'm entering my Sankofa Season. Sankofa is the Twi word that means "go back and get". During this period of my spiritual awakening, I have acquired immense knowledge from various sources—people, places, things, and my ancestors and spiritual guides. They have poured into me like a torrential downpour of wisdom, codes, and activations. My task is to walk the path of my highest good and to "remember" what my soul's purpose truly is.
Understanding the Concept of Sankofa
Sankofa teaches us the importance of looking back. It emphasizes that to understand our future, we must revisit our past. This journey requires us to reflect on the lessons learned and the wisdom gained. By doing this, we can illuminate our path forward.
We often become comfortable and complacent after achieving certain earthly favors. We seek approval from those we "love" and feel inadequate when we are ignored or dismissed. This mindset is NOT our true way! WE ARE SPIRITUAL BEINGS LIVING A HUMAN EXPERIENCE!!!
The Power of Release
I am grateful for every soul and energy that has entered (and exited) my field over this timeline. However, it is TIME to "go back and get" the knowledge and wisdom I have worked so hard to obtain. I will use these lessons to continue my expansion. The journey may not be easy, but it will definitely be worth it!
This journey extends over seven weeks. It focuses on resetting my chakras and fortifying my mind, body, and soul for the next level of ascension.
Week 1 – Re-Building My Foundation (Root Chakra)
This week, I will focus on returning to my roots. I aim to build a solid foundation that can withstand any trials or tests. Every experience is either a lesson or a blessing. The focus this week is on affirmations like: I AM STRONG, I AM SAFE, I AM PROTECTED!

Week 2 – Embracing Creativity (Sacral Chakra)
Next week, I will focus on the Sacral Chakra. This energy center is all about creativity and pleasure. I plan to engage in creative activities that ignite my passion. Whether it’s painting, dancing, or writing, I’ll let my creativity flow. I will remind myself: I AM CREATIVE, I AM DESERVING OF JOY, I AM FULFILLED!
Week 3 – Standing in My Power (Solar Plexus Chakra)
The third week will be about the Solar Plexus Chakra. This chakra relates to personal power and self-esteem. I will work on asserting myself and embracing my inner strength. To build my confidence, I’ll practice positive affirmations such as: I AM CONFIDENT, I AM POWERFUL, I AM ENOUGH!
Week 4 – Opening My Heart (Heart Chakra)
In the fourth week, I will focus on the Heart Chakra. This energy center represents love and compassion. I will practice self-love and be open to giving and receiving love from others. My key affirmations will be: I AM LOVED, I AM COMPASSIONATE, I AM OPEN-HEARTED!
Week 5 – Expressing My Truth (Throat Chakra)
The fifth week will emphasize the Throat Chakra. This chakra is about communication and self-expression. I will work on speaking my truth and expressing my feelings authentically. I’ll remind myself: I AM HEARD, I AM UNDERSTOOD, I AM FREE TO EXPRESS MYSELF!
Week 6 – Expanding My Intuition (Third Eye Chakra)
In the sixth week, I will focus on the Third Eye Chakra. This energy center represents intuition and insight. I plan to meditate and engage in practices that enhance my intuitive abilities. My affirmations will include: I AM INTUITIVE, I AM WISE, I TRUST MY INNER GUIDANCE!
Week 7 – Connecting with the Divine (Crown Chakra)
Finally, in week seven, I will focus on the Crown Chakra. This chakra connects us to the spiritual realm. I will seek to deepen my connection with my higher self and the universe. My affirmations will be: I AM DIVINE, I AM CONNECTED, I AM ONE WITH THE UNIVERSE!
In conclusion, my Sankofa Season is an opportunity for deep reflection, learning, and growth. It is a chance to reconnect with my roots and embrace the wisdom gained from my journey. As I embark on this seven-week adventure, I invite you to join me in your way. Let’s "go back and get" the knowledge that serves our highest good!
